I learned how to paint needlepoint canvases when I was 19. I won’t tell you how long ago that was, but disco was hot then. I eventually got a “real job” as my father suggested and spent a lot of time working for corporate America while living in California. Eight years ago my husband’s job brought us to Dayton, OH. I returned to school to study art and ended up designing a line of hand painted canvases. Patty Paints was officially launched in 1993. I was raised in the Midwest and art was my first love, so it seems right that I’m back in the middle of the country, making a living with a paint brush.
